Parents Meeting

We hosted a parents meeting on the Thursday, 13th September 2012 at the Center.

The meeting was an open forum where parents got to know more about Musoma Information Center, while being briefed on the Organizations' training curriculum. It was also a great opportunity for parents to have a glimpse of what their children interact with while at the Center.

In addition to this, was how the parents are going to lias with the Organization in supporting their loved ones, was discussed in depth.

Visit From Nairobits Top Designer

Tuesday, 18th September  was a wonderful day for all at Musoma Information center as we got a visit from one of Nairobits prominent Designer/Trainer, Geoffrey Otieno, better known as ‘Ray or Otesh’.

His one of our staff members, He was here to teach students on i.e., Aspects about Design, Business management, and Branding.  We web designers share a lot with the other visual artists; and in a specific way, he concentrated on the aspect of color and space.

He used things around us to explain his points to the core. No doubt everyone got out of the talk with something new. Personally (though this wasn’t part of the topic) I was truly perplexed to learn that when one wakes up after 7am in the morning, possibilities of making it in life are low.

Later on, the media labers got a chance to hear from Geoffrey who talked to them on the matters they really needed to hear, internship and employment, in a more general way let me call it the real world for a web designer.

He has been through a lot in the outside world, and so kind to share each and every story from out there.

This got others scared and others more determined. On behalf of the media labers I extend my thanks to Geoffrey and on behalf of the whole Musoma Infomation Center family, thanks so much
 Otesh a.k.a TOP SHATTAR!!!

As the two weeks came to an End!! the students were left with Full loaded skills on the making of High tech logo's from Adobe Illustrator, it was really a wonder to see the students per-taking each step to the lander starting from a sketch of Five personal logo drawings and reduce them to three out of five, then to the last one, that you think represents him/her as a person.and the only way to give thanks to Geoffrey was by showing him the final look of each students logo
